Here is the honest part: a milestone chart cannot tell you whether your child is on track. An evaluation can, right in your Scottsdale living room, and your child is very likely old enough. We use language measures normed from 8 months and speech measures from around 18 months. Either way you leave with a plain next step. Parents almost never tell us they checked too soon. What we hear is “I wish we had started sooner.”
We work at your kitchen table and on your playroom floor, with the toys and routines your child already knows. Nothing has to transfer home from a clinic, because it never left home. And you skip the 101 at rush hour entirely.
Trust comes first. Whenever possible your child keeps the same clinician: someone who knows their interests, their communication style, and what a good day looks like. If a change is ever needed, we plan it carefully so your child never starts from zero.

For Madison Jeffery, CCC-SLP, speech therapy has always been about more than words. As a child, she worked with a speech-language pathologist who helped her connect more meaningfully with the people around her. That experience shaped her career and the belief behind Social House Therapy: communication begins with feeling seen, understood, and supported.
Madison grew up in Scottsdale, so she knows the community families call home: the preschools, the parks, the drive across town at 5pm. We can coordinate with teachers and IEP teams in the Scottsdale Unified and Paradise Valley Unified districts, and with other teams across the valley.

A telehealth evaluation is not the right fit for every child. It depends on age, attention, and what we need to look at. Ask us first and we will tell you honestly which one your child is a better candidate for, before anything is scheduled.
